Virgin Blue Flight Simulator and Administration Facility, Brisbane, QLD

Adjacent to Brisbane Airport, this state-of-the-art, two storey facility contains Virgin Blue’s combined training facilities for LAM engineers, ground crew, flight crew and cabin crew.

With four full-flight simulators, the facility has the capability to train 4500 pilots annually. Provision for expansion has been made with space for two additional simulators within the facility. The equipment installed includes Boeing 737-700/-800 and 717-200 full flight simulators.

The two-story facility also provides for pilot and aircraft maintenance training. Workstations are equipped with networked devices and other advanced technological training and learning tools to allow students to progress at their own pace through self-guided, computer based programmes.

The administration fitout provides a contemporary working environment for Virgin Airlines national Network Operations Department and Crew Sign-On and Admin Support Team.

The design also includes improved Ground Services Accommodation and temporary Training Suites.
