As founder of the practice, Daryl designed and delivered some of Jackson Architecture’s most notable projects in Australia, the United Kingdom, Asia and the Middle East.

He established a national reputation for design excellence, demonstrated through numerous industry awards for projects such as the Melbourne Cricket Ground Northern and Southern Stands, Marvel Stadium, County Court of Victoria and Box Hill Hospital. Under Daryl’s leadership, the practice was awarded the prestigious Australian Institute of Architects (AIA) National Sir Zelman Cowen Award for Public Architecture on three occasions.

In 1987, Daryl was awarded the AIA Gold Medal, the Institute’s highest honour, awarded to architects who have demonstrated distinguished service to the profession. On 26 January 1990, he was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia, also for his service to architecture.

Daryl’s design philosophy continues to inspire the Jackson Architecture team.
