Mikel has extensive experience in the design of complex buildings involving large, multi-disciplinary project teams, primarily in the healthcare sector.

He has worked on a number of significant hospital projects in Australia and overseas, aged cared facilities and medical research centres. His involvement in such projects has ranged from the exploration and resolution of project planning, staging and workflow, through to the generation and composition of architectural concept studies and the development, articulation and refinement of the design.

Mikel played a key role in the design and delivery of the award-winning Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness and Research Centre, Austin Hospital Redevelopment and Rathdowne Place Aged Care and Wellness Precinct.
