About This Project

Box Hill Hospital, Box Hill, VIC

$250M

In Association with Silver Thomas Hanley

The redeveloped Box Hill Hospital is the major health referral centre for people living in the eastern region of Melbourne.

The ten-storey building, which has taken just under three years to complete, is a contemporary, technologically advanced healthcare facility, designed to accommodate future growth in Melbourne’s east. Located on a historically important site, the redevelopment also includes refurbishment of the existing 1950’s hospital. A major atrium and foyer provides the main link between the existing and new facilities and is the fulcrum of the development providing entry to both buildings.

Clinical services provided within the redevelopment include: Emergency Care, Theatres, Intensive Care Unit, Cardiology, Maternity, Oncology, Inpatient Units, and a Sleep Laboratory. Maternity Services include antenatal ward, birthing suites, special care nursery, fetal monitoring and specialist clinics.
