The scope of works for this project included architectural and interior works to the existing library buildings at 3 Swinburne University of Technology Campuses, at Hawthorn, Croydon and Wantirna.
The University used the project to instigate positive change through the creation of a centralised Student HQ. Student facilities have been improved in that spaces are engaging and collaborative learning is facilitated. Spatial efficiency is provided through the rationalisation of library collections.
At all 3 campuses, the library front of house functions have been co-located with student HQ functions to create new interactive information hubs.
Inclusions
- New central Student HQ and several student services functions;
- A contemporary learning environment;
- An improved group and quiet study areas; and
- A new 24 Hour late lab.
